Small teams

We're organized into small, self-sufficient teams that each own something end to end, with a lot of ownership and not much process in the way. A team might be one person today or ten later, and the way it works stays the same.

Leadership

Sets direction, holds the quality bar, and clears the path. A role, not a rank, and for now all the founder.

Engineering

Builds and runs the platform, and keeps it fast, safe, and boring in the good way.

Product

Decides what we build and, just as often, what we don't.

Design

Makes the work clear and considered, down to the empty states.

Developer relations

Meets the people who build on Flagon where they are, and brings their feedback home.

Growth

Helps the right people find Flagon and get value fast, without dark patterns.

Marketing

Tells the true story of what we're making, in public.

Community

Tends the room where the conversation and the feedback happen.

Support

Turns a rough edge into a fixed one, and carries the signal to the people who can act on it.

Operations

Keeps the company running so everyone else can do their best work.

Why we work in small teams

Ownership only feels real when it’s whole. The full reasoning, and how we intend to stay small as we grow, is in the handbook.
