The assistant

Operate Flagon by asking. Reads run automatically; changes are proposed for you to confirm.

Flagon is AI-first: anything you can do in the dashboard, you can do by asking the assistant, and anything the assistant can do, you can also do yourself. It is built into the platform, not bolted on, so it gains new abilities as the product grows.

How it behaves

  • It acts as you. The assistant runs operations with your identity and your organization's scope, so it can never do anything you could not do yourself.
  • Reads run, changes are proposed. Read-only actions happen immediately. Anything that changes data is returned as a proposed action for you to confirm first, so you stay in control.
  • It is scoped to Flagon. The assistant helps you operate Flagon. It is not a general chatbot, and it will steer back to what it can actually do.
  • It can read the docs. Ask it how something works and it searches this documentation to answer, rather than guessing.

Model choice and cost

The model is configuration, not code. Flagon ships with a hosted default and can point at any OpenAI-compatible endpoint or a self-hosted model, so you can run your own for a flat cost. Usage is metered per organization so plans can be enforced.

See MCP server to give the same abilities to an external agent.
