Notifications
Your personal feed of what happened across your organizations, and how Flagon reaches you.
Notifications
Notifications are your personal feed of activity across the organizations you belong to - an invite you accepted, a member who joined, a role that changed. They are personal: a notification belongs to you, not to an organization. That makes them separate from the audit log, which is the organization's shared, immutable record of who did what.
Where they show up
- The bell in the top bar shows a badge with your unread count and a short feed. The feed is unread first, then most recent, so an item you haven't read yet is never buried under newer ones you have - even if it's weeks old.
- Settings → Notifications is the full feed, with All and Unread filters, plus your delivery preferences. It's a personal surface (your account, spanning every organization you belong to), also reachable from the bell's View all.
Reading a notification
Selecting a notification opens its detail rather than jumping you somewhere:
- It marks the notification read (its
read_attimestamp records when). - From the detail you can mark it unread again to bring it back to the top of the feed, or open its linked page when it has one.
- Mark all as read clears the whole unread count at once.
Opening a notification never navigates on its own - you follow the link only when you choose to, so a click is never a surprise jump.
Delivery
Today notifications are delivered in-product (the bell and the feed). Email delivery is planned.
With the AI and the API
Everything above is available through the API and to the AI assistant and MCP: list your notifications, mark one read or unread, or mark them all read. As with every mutation, the in-product agent proposes the change and you confirm it.
