Organizations & teams
An organization is your workspace on Flagon. It owns your projects and resources, it's the boundary for billing, and it's the team of people who can work in it. Every resource on the platform belongs to exactly one organization, and access is always scoped to it.
You can belong to more than one organization, and switch between them from the console.
Members and roles
People you add to an organization become members, each with a role that decides what they can do.
| Role | Can do | | --- | --- | | Owner | Everything, including transferring ownership and deleting the organization. Exactly one per organization. | | Admin | Manage members, tokens, and all product configuration. | | Member | Work within the products (create and configure flags, and so on). |
One owner
Every organization has exactly one owner. Ownership isn't a role you assign or invite someone into: it moves by transfer. The current owner hands ownership to another member, and in the same step steps down to admin. That keeps accountability unambiguous, there's always exactly one person who ultimately controls the organization.
When you invite people, the roles you can give them are admin and member.
Invitations
Add teammates by sending an invitation to their email from the organization's members settings. They accept, sign in, and become a member with the role you chose. Because pricing is usage-based, there's no per-seat cost, invite the whole team.
Projects
Projects are not available yet. Today flags are organization-global. When projects land they will organize the work for a system or team, so a large organization stays navigable instead of being one flat list of resources.
Signing in
Flagon supports multiple verified email addresses per user, so you can sign in with any address you've added and verified, handy when your work and personal accounts blur. Your primary address is the one shown to teammates.
